Elizabeth I (1558-1603), silver Sixpence, 1567, milled issue (1561-1571), reads REGI, Bust F, m.m. lis/lis. Obv. Small bust, crowned, facing left wearing decorated dress, rose behind. Rev. Long cross fourchée over shield of arms, date above. 3.01g, die axis 9h (S.2599; North 2030). A few light contact marks, otherwise the wear nicely even and consistent for a coin in this grade, the old cabinet tone a deep grey with golden hues. Very fine.
