George I (1714-1727), copper Halfpenny, 1717, ‘dump’ issue, obverse with wide GEORGIVS, S in front of forehead, tip of spray of leaves on reverse between T & A of Britannia, edge plain. Obv. Laureate and cuirassed bust facing right. Rev. Britannia seated facing left, date in exergue. 9.82g, die axis 6h (S.3659; Peck 768). Small die flaw below bust, otherwise a pleasing coin with even wear and a nice brown patina. Good very fine. With old ticket.
