George I (1714-1727), gold Half-Guinea, 1725, edge milled diagonally. Obv. Second laureate head facing right. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, garter star in centre, sceptres in angles, date split by English crown. Die axis 6h (S.3637; EGC 546). A few miniscule marks, otherwise lightly toned and lustrous, a popular monarch to collect, the present example with superb eye appeal, desirable thus. Slabbed and graded by NGC as AU58.
