George II (1727-1760), copper Farthing, 1734, no stops on obverse, V/V in GEORGIVS, edge plain. Obv. Laureate and cuirassed bust facing left. Rev. Britannia seated facing left, date in exergue. 4.93g, die axis 6h (S.3720; Peck 862). Some softness to high points as is usual for this issue and a little die clogging, otherwise evenly toned with a rich silky patina, a choice example and superior to the Spink plate coin. Good extremely fine and much as struck, a very rare variety and extremely rare in this grade.
