George II (1727-1760), silver Shilling, 1750/46, edge milled diagonally. Obv. Old laureate and draped bust facing left. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, garter star in centre, angles plain, date split by English crown. 6.02g, die axis 6h (S.3704; Bull 1732). A couple of miniscule hairlines to reverse, otherwise a problem free coin, nicely toned with a deep grey patina, pleasing. A bold extremely fine and scarce.

Formerly slabbed and graded by NGC as MS61 (now removed from slab) with accompanying slab ticket.
