George II (1727-1760), copper Farthing, 1754, narrow spaced date, edge plain. Obv. Laureate and draped bust facing right, date below. Rev. Britannia seated facing left above waves, ship to left, ‘1 FARTHING’ below. 5.19g, die axis 6h (S.3722; Peck 892). A miniscule metal flaw on cheek, otherwise boldly struck with a delightful silky brown patina, a choice example with much eye appeal. Good extremely fine and much as struck, very rare in this condition.
