George III (1760-1820), silver proof pattern Sixpence, 1790, dies by Droz, edge milled vertically. Obv. The royal cypher, GR, crowned within laurel branches. Rev. Britannia seated facing left on globe, date in legend, exergue plain. Die axis 12h (Bull 2221 (in silver); Selig -). A few very light hairlines to reverse otherwise with full lustre and much brilliance, a choice example of this milled edge issue. Virtually as struck and scarce.
