George III (1760-1820), gold Guinea, 1791, early coinages, large 9 in date, edge milled vertically. Obv. Fifth laureate head facing right. Rev. Crowned shield of arms, date split by crown. 8.41g, die axis 12h (S.3729; EGC 719). Some very minimal haymarking flecks and the odd minor hairline, neither of which detract from this otherwise delightful coin, lustrous surfaces with much mint brilliance in the legends. Extremely fine.
