George III (1760-1820), copper Gilt pattern Farthing, 1798, by C.H. Kuchler, Birmingham mint, moneyer Soho Mint, early Soho, 3 berries in wreath, m.m. SOHO on reverse only, edge plain. Obv. Laureate and draped bust facing right, K within lower left of truncation, date below in legend. Rev. Britannia seated facing left above waves, ship to left, 1 FARTHING in legend. 7.08g, die axis 6h (Peck 1202). A few light hairlines, otherwise the fields quite brilliant, the devices demonstrating a beautiful cameo effect, an attractive example. Choice extremely fine and rare.
