George III (1760-1820), copper Gilt Proof pattern Farthing, 1806, Birmingham, Soho Mint, fourth issue, m.m. SOHO on reverse only, edge grained in centre. Obv. Laureate and draped bust facing right, date below. Rev. Britannia seated facing left, exergue plain. Presented in an old PCGS ‘slab’ Die axis 6h (S.3782). A few trivial hairlines for completeness, otherwise a delightful proof, toned with resulting deep golden hues, a coin with great eye appeal. Slabbed and graded by PCGS as PR63.
