George III (1760-1820), copper Proof Farthing, 1806, Birmingham mint, moneyer Soho Mint, fourth issue, K and incuse dot on truncation, currency issue, portrait 2 (Peck unlisted as proof), edge grained in centre. Obv. Laureate and draped bust facing right, date below. Rev. Britannia seated facing left above waves, ship to left, exergue plain. 4.67g, die axis 6h (S.3782; Peck 1397). The tone a little patchy, nonetheless retaining much mint brilliance and original colour. Practically as struck and the variety presumed rare.

Formerly slabbed and graded by NGC as PF64 RD (now removed from slab) with accompanying slab ticket.
