George III (1760-1820), gold Half-Guinea, 1806, early coinages, edge milled diagonally. Obv. Seventh laureate head facing right. Rev. Shield in crowned garter, date split by garter below. 4.21g, die axis 12h (S.3737; EGC 851). Lightly toned with some lustre. A pleasing very fine.
