George III (1760-1820), silver Three Shillings, 1811, Bank of England issue (1804-1816), Kings hair with single tie end and 5 berries in wreath, front leaf points to end of E in DEI, reverse oak wreath with 26 acorns, obv. A¹ rev. 1², edge plain. Obv. Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust facing right. Rev. Oak wreath containing BANK TOKEN 3 SHILL. over three lines above date. 17.76g, die axis 12h (S.3769; Bull 2065). Reflective, brilliant, mirror like surfaces complimented by a beautiful old and somewhat patchy purple and golden cabinet tone, a pleasing coin. Choice good extremely fine.
