George III (1760-1820), gold Sovereign, 1820, last or new coinage (1816-1820), open 2 in date, Type B, edge milled vertically. Obv. Laureate head facing right, date below in legend. Rev. St. George and dragon within garter. Die axis 6h (S.3785C). A few trivial contact marks, otherwise lightly toned but retaining a pleasing radiant cartwheel lustre to the periphery. Slabbed and graded by NGC as AU58.
