George IV (1820-1830), gold Sovereign, 1826, edge milled vertically. Obv. Bare head facing left, date below. Rev. Crowned shield. Die axis 6h (S.3801; EGC v2 968; Marsh 11). A few trivial surface marks under magnification, otherwise lightly toned with rich, lustrous surfaces, a desirable coin with good eye appeal. Slabbed and graded by NGC as MS61.
