George V (1910-1936), gold and silver 10-piece Proof Set, 1911, edge milled vertically. Obv. Bare head facing left. Rev. Various designs. Set includes: gold Sovereign and Half-Sovereign, silver Halfcrown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence and Maundy Set. This set comes housed in its original gold crested, dated and lettered case. Case with a few minor scuff marks otherwise in good condition. Die axis 12h (S.PS11). Some light hairlines, otherwise a choice set with much mint brilliance, the silver with a pleasing matching tone. Practically mint state.
