Henry III (1216-1272), silver Penny, Voided ‘Long Cross’ coinage (1247-1279), a continental imitation of a class III penny of London. Obv. Crowned facing bust within beaded inner circle. Rev. Voided long cross, three pellets in each angle, legends reads DAVI ON IVNDEI 1.43g, die axis 1h (CT 3.048). Struck in good quality silver on a full flan. Very fine and rare, with only a single specimen noted in the Brussels Hoard
