Henry III (1216-1272), silver Penny, 1248-1250, London mint, moneyer Nicole, Voided ‘Long Cross’ coinage (1247-1279), Class 3c. Obv. Crowned facing bust within inner circle. Rev. Voided long cross, three pellets in each angle. 1.32g, die axis 10h (S.1364; North 988). Struck on a full round and even flan, toned with golden-brown highlights to the recesses, a handsome coin. Good very fine.
