Henry VI (1422-1461), silver Groat, 1431-1433, Calais mint, first reign (1422-1461), Pinecone-mascle issue, m.m. cross fleury/plain cross. Obv. Crowned bust facing within inner circle. Rev. Long cross to edge of coin, 3 pellets in each central quarter within inner beaded circle. 3.80g, die axis 3h (S.1875; North 1461). Minor striking split to edge, otherwise evenly struck with a pleasing old cabinet tone and strong, bold portrait. Almost extremely fine.
