Henry VII (1485-1509), silver Groat, London mint, facing bust, Class IIIc, m.m. leopard’s head/leopard’s head. Obv. Crowned bust facing within tressure, double-arched crown, type 2, no. 4, with jewels on outer arch only, saltire stops. Rev. Long forked cross to edge of coin, 3 pellets in each central quarter within inner beaded circle. 3.26g, (S.2199; North 1705(c)). Dark tone, full flan with traces of iridescence to reverse, a pleasing example. Extremely fine.
