Henry VII (1485-1509), Halfpenny, 1489-1493, London mint, Crown with lower single arch, no stops, Type IIIa. Obv. Crowned bust facing, Rev. Long cross to edge of coin, 3 pellets in each central quarter within inner beaded circle. 0.33g, (S.2244; North 1734). Some weakness of strike and die shift to reverse, otherwise a delightful example struck on good quality metal with a bold and pleasing portrait. Good very fine to about extremely fine for issue.
