Henry VII (1485-1509), silver Halfgroat, 1504-1509, Canterbury mint, Archbishop William Wareham, Profile issue, m.m. Martlet/Martlet. Obv. Crowned and draped bust facing right. Rev. Square-topped shields of arms over long cross fourchée. 1.40g, die axis 10h (S.2261; North 1750). Evenly struck on a broad flan with a delightful old cabinet tone, the portrait superb, an exceptional example with a great provenance. Good very fine and rare in this condition.
