James I (1603-1625), gold Unite, 1604-1605, second coinage (1604-1619), m.m. lis/lis. Obv. Crowned half-length second bust facing right, holding orb and sceptre. Rev. Crowned square-topped shield of arms, IR across fields. 9.89g, die axis 7h (S.2618; North 2083). Some light marks, the shield weak in parts, however the legends bold and clear, a centrally struck example on a full flan. About very fine.
