James I (1603-1625), silver Shilling, 1621-1623, third coinage, sixth bust, m.m. thistle/thistle. Obv. Crowned bust facing right, with laced collar, value behind in roman numerals. Rev. Square-topped shield of arms 5.76g, die axis 11h (S.2668). A little weak in places and lightly clipped, with an attractive old cabinet tone. About very fine.
