James II (1685-1688), silver Shilling, 1687/6, G/A in MAG, broken B in IACOBVS, 7 strings to harp, edge milled diagonally. Obv. Laureate and draped bust facing left. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, angles plain, date split by English crown. 5.84g, die axis 6h (S.3410; Bull 770). Some very light flecking to obverse, adjustment marks on bust and corresponding part of reverse, else with an attractive light grey tone, pleasing. Good very fine and rare.
