Julia Domna (193-217), silver Denarius, AD 200, Rome mint, edge milled vertically. Obv. Draped bust facing right, IVLIA AVGVSTA in legend. Rev. Ceres seated facing left holding corn-ears and long torch, legend CERERI FRVGIF. 2.92g, die axis 6h (Sear 6576 (RCV II); RIC 546 (Severus)). Some minor flan flaws and die breaks, the flan a little ragged in parts although the legends all clearly visible, nicely toned, with a pleasing portrait and good overall definition. Almost extremely fine.
