Green with Britannia vignette to left, mark of value to right, declaration at centre, Withdrawn from Circulation September 18th 1941 written in 4 lines vertically across centre. Rev. Front of the Bank of England above a spread of acanthus leaves around watermark, vignettes of St. George and Dragon to either side in the style of the sovereign reverse used by Benedetto Pistrucci. (EPM B239A; Pick 363h; BYB BE48e). Slabbed and graded by PMG as Choice About Uncirculated 58.
