Marc Antony and Octavian (41 BC), silver Denarius, Ephesus mint. Obv. Bare head of Mark Antony facing right. Rev. Bare head of Octavian facing right. 3.71g, die axis 6h (Sear 1504 (RCV I)). Bankers mark on Antony’s neck and a few light scratches to the fields on reverse, nonetheless a coin of good fabric, lightly toned with golden hues and some lustre, the portrait of Antony especially pleasing. Almost extremely fine.
