Maximinus I (AD 235-238), silver Denarius, AD 235-236, Rome mint. Obv. Laureate, cuirassed and draped bust facing right. Rev. Pax standing left, holding branch and a sceptre. 3.17g, die axis 6h (Sear 8310 (RCV III); RIC 12; BMC 68). Some verdigris on obverse, not detracting from this sharply struck, handsome coin, the fields lustrous fields beneath an attractive iridescent cabinet tone. Extremely fine and much as struck.
