Merovingia Francia (c.700-725), silver Denier, continental secondary phase. Obv. Diademed and draped bust facing right, quatrefoil to left, plain cross to right. Rev. +ADALSAR around pellet in beaded inner circle. 0.98g, die axis 6h (SCBI 69, 1103 (this coin); Metcalf 267). Struck a fraction of centre but nonetheless a lovely and desirable coin, lightly toned and of good metal with a strong imposing portrait. About extremely fine and scarce.
