Richard I (1189-1199), silver Penny, 1190-1194, London mint, moneyer Ricard, voided ‘Short Cross’ coinage, Class 3ab2. Obv. Crowned facing bust within inner circle, holding sceptre. Rev. Voided short cross, quatrefoil in each angle. 1.47g, die axis 5h (S.1347; North 965). The flan a little irregular in shape but nicely toned. A bold very fine and rare.
