Victoria (1837-1901), copper Farthing, 1849, ‘Young Head’ copper coinage (1838-1860), 4 over lower 4 in date, with a stop after date, BRITANNIAR: REG: FID: (normal) legend, edge plain. Obv. Young head facing left, date below. Rev. Britannia seated facing right, emblems in exergue. 4.54g, die axis 12h (S.3950; Peck 1570 var.). Lustrous with some original colour beneath a pleasing red/brown tone. About uncirculated and an extremely rare variant on an already rare date, desirable thus.
