Victoria (1837-1901), copper Penny, 1855, ‘Young Head’ copper coinage (1838-1860), Plain Trident DEF:. Obv. Young head facing left, date below. Rev. Britannia seated facing right, emblems in angles. 18.44g, die axis 12h (S.3948). Small verdigris patch on Britannia’s shoulder, nonetheless a sharp strike, lightly toned with some original colour. Extremely fine.
