Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1857, ‘Young Head’ coinage (1838-1887), WW incuse on truncation, shield on reverse with repositioned legend, edge milled vertically. Obv. Second ‘large’ young head facing left, date below. Rev. Crowned shield of arms within wreath, emblems below. 7.99g, die axis 6h (S.3852D). Some light hairlines and small toning spots to obverse, otherwise lightly toned over lustrous fields. Almost extremely fine.
