Victoria (1837-1901), Farthing, 1869, ‘Bun Head’ issue (1860-1895), edge plain. Obv. Young laureate bust facing left. Rev. Britannia seated facing right, lighthouse to left, ship to right, date in exergue. 2.86g, die axis 12h (S.3958; Freeman 522). A darker tone over quite brilliant fields, sharply struck with much underlying lustre, a choice example – delightful in hand. Virtually BU and scarce.
