Victoria (1837-1901), gold Sovereign, 1880 M, Melbourne mint, ‘Young Head’ coinage (1838-1887), Horse with long tail, small BP and date in exergue, m.m. M on reverse only, edge milled vertically. Obv. Young first head facing left, ‘M’ below, ‘WW’ partially buried in truncation. Rev. St. George and dragon, date in exergue. 8.02g, die axis 6h (S.3857). A couple of minor edge bumps and a few light contact marks, otherwise lightly toned and lustrous. Almost extremely fine.
