Victoria (1837-1901), silver Proof Halfcrown, 1893, ‘Old Head’ coinage (1893-1901), edge milled vertically. Obv. Old veiled bust facing left. Rev. Crowned shield in collar, date divided by St. George and dragon below. Die axis 12h (S.3938; Bull 2779). Only the minutest of hairlines on the obverse, otherwise beautifully toned in the recesses creating a cameo effect, a choice example. As struck.
