Crowned cruciform shields, angles plain, date split by English crown. 30g, die axis 6h (S.3470; Bull 991). A delightful light steely grey tone and much underlying brilliance, the haymarking that often plaques coins of this issue is very light indeed and barely visible with the naked eye, a lovely coin in hand. A choice example.
