William III (1694-1702), silver Sixpence, 1697, Bristol mint, first bust, late harp, small crowns, m.m. B on obverse only, edge milled diagonally. Obv. First laureate and draped bust facing right, B below. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, Lion of Nassau in centre, angles plain, date split by English crown. 2.94g, die axis 6h (S.3532; Bull 1261). A pleasing dark tone with underlying lustre. Good very fine or better.
