William III (1694-1702), silver Proof Farthing, 1698, stop after date, edge plain. Obv. Laureate and draped bust facing right. Rev. Britannia seated facing left, date in legend, exergue blank. 4.80g, die axis 6h (Peck 680). Britannia a little soft as is usual and some minor flecking on the obverse, otherwise struck on good quality, bright metal with lustrous fields, a nice example of this type. Extremely fine and scarce.
