William III (1694-1702), gold Guinea, 1701, Italic script 1’s in date, 6 strings to harp, ornamented sceptres type ‘(g)’, edge milled diagonally. Obv. Second laureate bust facing right. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, Lion of Nassau in centre, sceptres in angles, date split by English crown. 8.33g, die axis 6h (S.3463; EGC 426). A problem free, well presented coin, lightly toned with much underlying lustre. Good very fine.
