William IV (1830-1837), copper Bronzed Proof Farthing, 1831, edge plain. Obv. Bare head facing right, date below. Rev. Britannia seated facing right, emblems in exergue. 4.75g, die axis 6h (S.3848; Peck 1468). One or two very trivial spots for completeness, otherwise a beautiful coin, lightly toned with flashy brown fields, choice. As struck and very rare.

Formerly slabbed and graded by NGC as PF65 BN (now removed from slab) with accompanying slab ticket, although the label incorrectly cited as ‘George IIII’!
