William IV (1830-1837), gold Sovereign, 1832, Second bust, flat top ear, nose points to second I in legend, edge milled vertically. Obv. Second bust, bare head facing right. Rev. Crowned shield of arms, date in legend. 7.98g, die axis 6h (S.3829B; Marsh 17). The obverse with some hairlines, otherwise lightly toned with much lustre, the reverse especially pleasing. Slabbed and graded by NGC as AU58.
