William & Mary (1689-1694), silver Halfcrown, 1689, no frosting, with pearls, edge PRIMO. Obv. First conjoined busts facing right, William bust laureate and cuirassed, Mary draped. Rev. First crowned shield of arms, Lion of Nassau in centre, date split by shield above. 14.65g, die axis 6h (S.3434; Bull 835). Some very light flecking (bearly noticeable when in hand), otherwise with a delightful old cabinet tone consisting of a light grey interspersed with golden highlights. Much underlying lustre and pleasing in hand. Good very fine.
