William & Mary (1689-1694), silver Halfcrown, 1693, edge QVINTO. Obv. Second conjoined busts facing right, William bust laureate and cuirassed, Mary draped. Rev. Crowned cruciform shields, Lion of Nassau in centre, WM monogram in angles, date split by shields in quarters. 14.88g, die axis 6h (S.3436; Bull 860). Some die rust evident in angles on reverse and a few light marks, the field otherwise with a rich, colourful tone, boldly struck and lustrous with good eye appeal. Almost extremely fine and rare in this condition.
